About
The company's roots go right back to the start of the internet and to academic research in the geoscience space, when the founder was involved in several start-up ventures including Electronic Journals Ltd, Electronic Geology (the first purely online peer-reviewed academic journal in the Earth Sciences), NetLondon.com, Rugby.tv and Blinked.tv.
Development
Extensive knowledge and experience in a wide range of modern object oriented and functional languages used in modern development and data engineering problems.Deep AGILE process experience through the entire software development life cycle using Kanban and Scrum.
Dev-In-Test
If you don't have tests, it doesn't matter if it works, it's still wrong.
Software testing is a mentality far more than it is a series of tool kits.
Years of experience as both a automated tester and test driven developer, as well commercial use of a very wide range of testing methodologies and languages gives Future Visible both very powerful insights into the conduct of testing and how to liase with both business stakeholders and developers.
Data Science
Sometimes called the sexiest career of the 21st century, data science and the use of predictive analytics is the most exciting area of IT today. Extensive experience in data science, machine learning and process mining techniques plus a background in pure scientific research gives Future Visible the ability to derive deep insights into complex data problems.Data Engineering
70% of what is commonly called Data Science is actually data engineering, involving the pre-processing of data in order to get it into a form that allows a data science problem to be studied.Consequently, nowadays data scientists need to have development skills as well as a good understanding of areas such as cloud deployment.
Because data engineering is a service to allow data scientists to examine data driven problems, an understanding of how scientific insight is arrived at is also a highly useful skill.
Future Visible's extensive experience in development using languages such as Scala and Python, cloud technologies and last but not least pure scientific research allows the consultancy to offer first class data engineering services to it's clients.
Geoscience
The founder of Future Visible, Dr. Andrew Tekle-Cadman, was previously a research earth scientist who has published nine first class papers in peer-reviewed journals.Awarded the first ever Fermor Fellowship set up in honour of Sir Lewis Fermor by the Geological Society of London, Dr. Cadman (as he then was) held post doctoral positions at the University of Leicester and subsequently Kingston University.
Future Visible will utilise it's founder's domain knowledge to pursue consultancy opportunities in the geoscience space applying modern data science techniques to geological problems.
Corporate Clients
Future Visible and it's founder have worked for a very wide range of corporate clients in the media, government, banking, retail, entertainment, employment and publishing industries.
This gives the company the reputation, client base and network to leverage future commercial opportunities across an extraordinary array of business sectors.
